When most of us arrive at a Mini show we park up our Mini, get out and start to look around the event. Not so for show 'n' shine and concours participants. No doubt they've already spent many
days preparing their Mini and once at the show they have to remove travel grime and get their car ready for judging. It is these dedicated few that form fascinating displays at Mini shows all over the world and for that we salute you! I would never have the patience, foresight or ability required to prepare or clean my Minis to the level required to win trophies but Mini shows would certainly not
be as interesting without these fantastic cars. It's fascinating to see what these clever folk come up with in terms of detailing their Minis, colour coding components and putting on eye catching displays. My above praise of dedicated concours folk was prompted by entrants to the MiniWorld Car of the Year concours at the National Mini Show on 15 September. Drizzly rain meant that Minis had to be prepared in the wet and that can't be very pleasant, even with a top prize of £500 up for grabs. Thanks to those who displayed their cars for all to enjoy. The overall winner was Andy Nash. His superb Pick-up has evolved from a very tidy vehicle to a concours winner. He has asked for feedback from concours judges and has taken their comments on board so he should be rightly proud of his achievements. You can see pics of the show, as well as photos of the Legendary Grand Tour, Minis By the Sea, Mini Fest, Baltic Mini Challenge and Mouth to Mouth Mini Run in our event review section starting on page 94. Be sure to look on our website for unpublished photos of this year's shows. I hope you enjoy the issue.

Mini World

Just getting back into the Mini experience after 40 years or so away. I love the magazine so far, lots of variety . I have only gotten into a few issues but I feel like it will get even better the more of them I read.
Thank you.
