Welcome to Issue 3 of Air-Style VW Magazine.
Once again, we have got some truly amazing feature cars lined up for you in this issue. The cover Bus is serial air-cooled owner Del Keane’s Mango and Beryl Green 11-window Split. He has done much of the restoration himself, including the paintwork, which looks fantastic. Someone else who likes doing his own work is Gary Brent, find out what he found in a work colleague’s barn and the labour of love that then followed!
At Air-Style, we enjoy covering all aspects of the VW scene – check out the ’62 Volksrod built by Eric Fernon and his brother-in-law Steven Hawkins from South Florida. We have an awesome looking OG paint Squareback, originally from California and now residing in Belgium and, on the subject of Squarebacks, take a look at the amazing job Air-Style’s very own Sam and Laura Jeffery have done bringing their ’72 Squareback back to life. The great Air-Style Baja build has begun, and in this and following issues you’ll be able to keep up to date with the progress the guys are making.
James Peene takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour at Eva Resto and Stephen Paul Hardy takes us back to basics with some VW electrics on page 63.

Like many great origin stories - the idea of Air-Style VW Magazine was conceived in a pub. Four like-minded friends knew that they weren't alone in their love for all things Volkswagen. They felt there was a gap in the market for the many that shared their passion, and believed that they could provide a service that speaks to the people in love with the cars, vans, music and lifestyle that makes the VW fandom so unique. Throughout the various pub meetings that followed, the premise grew from a concept into a fully functioning business plan.
