RISKY BUSINESS

Welcome to this month's issue of Airsoft International. We held off for as long as possible but in true British style, we couldn't resist talking about the weather or more relevantly, winter. As a team we have largely taken a look at coping with the cold but in slightly different ways. For you gear fans out there myself and S23 have taken a look at some kit that you can pick up to take the edge off, from base layers to insulated suits to boots and gaiters, there's a solid foundation in bad weather wear inside. The "risky business" come in the form of Phil B's contribution. You might think it a bit of a dirty subject here in the pages of an airsoft magazine but Phil has discussed the idea of putting your guns away for winter and even taking a longer break. Risky indeed but as a team we decided that there was no way of denying it, people sometimes want to have a break and winter is probably the prime time to do so. Again though, that's the beauty of airsoft as a hobby... You can pick and choose what you want from it as and when you want it. There's no contract or obligation and we really wanted to push the point that it didn't make you less of a player if you didn't really fancy hanging around in a field in -2C all day. Contentious points aside, we have been graced with the full collection of Nuprol AEGs this month. The guys have put a lot of effort into designing and specifying this new range of 5 guns and you can tell they are made by players, for players. Truly, gone are the days where a rickety plastic gun was the "starter option", you can now hit the field running with a smooth running, sweet shootin' piece of kit that will stay in service for as long as you need it to and all this is available for a price starting at f130... Things really have changed for the better in the AEG market.
