This 9in (23cm) silver and parcel-gilt beaker with marks for Johann Klinge, Breslau 1727-37, is priced at a five-figure sum.
Incorporating a number of silver coins, the beaker is decorated to one side with the cityscape of Breslau shown from the south and to the other with the city’s coat of arms. The inscriptions read Salus Wratislavia (The well-being of Breslau) and Incrementu Familiae (To the increase of the family).
