This late 19th-early 20th century covered silver cup made by Neresheimer of Hanau in 17th-century style features in a sale at IM Chait in Beverly Hills, California, on December 16.
Standing 2ft 1¾in (65cm) high, weighing around 73oz and decorated with chased mythological scenes and a finial modelled as Diana with a hound, it bears hallmarks that include Neresheimer and pseudo-Augsburg marks to the cover and base. With a provenance to the collection of Eugene Iglesias, it has an estimate of $2000-3000.
