COMMUNITY groups can apply for up to £2,000 in funding towards artistic and visual improvements to local National Cycle Network routes, including one in Mid Argyll.
The ArtRoots fund, funded by Transport Scotland and run by Sustrans Scotland, seeks to create visually attractive and memorable routes which encourage people to explore on foot and bike.
Previous Artroots funded projects include recycled seating, chainsaw-carved sculptures and landscaping.
