Arran Open Studios (AOS) has reached the final camp before the assault on the summit between August 11 and 14. Organisers have had their second last meeting before the big weekend and the stats are good. There are 39 entries in this year’s brochure - the sixth year of the event.
This represents up to 50 artists as some are working collectively sharing studio or exhibiting space. This is a quantum leap from last year and the organisers are delighted with the way the event is burgeoning.
This is undoubtedly helped by the Arran Art Trail having its maiden voyage this year. It is also helped by newcomers to the island whose participation is welcomed and eagerly anticipated in equal part as part of the event.
