Panton started his studies at Odense Technical College and then applied to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. While studying architecture there, he apprenticed at Arne Jacobsen’s firm from 1950-1952. Panton was there for the creation of the revolutionary three-legged Ant Chair.
