CAUSTIC COMIC JOE SUTHERLAND IS MAKING HIS EDINBURGH FESTIVAL DEBUT WITH A SHOW THAT’S ABOUT THE “HOLY TRINITY OF COMEDY”: CONFIDENCE, THE SPICE GIRLS AND HOMOPHOBIA
WORDS: TIM HEAP
Q & A
This is your first time performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. What can people expect?
It’s basically a chance for me to show off, have some fun and politely ask that people respect a queer person’s right to own their identity and not get pigeonholed.
How do you describe your style of comedy?
Funny, obviously. Silly, smart, dirty, chic and depraved, all at once.
