Rob Clark has researched the commemorative special train that was organised by the Western Australian Government Railways (WAGR) for the first mainline diesel-electric locomotives, namely the X Class. Many interesting dignitaries of the time rode the train, including Mr C G C Wayne, who was at the time General Manager, Tasmanian Government Railways. Mr Wayne would later become the WAGR Commissioner of Railways. He was a truly a railway man of his time and his international railway career speaks for itself in a special dedication to him on pages 14 and 15.

July 2020 Rob Clark has researched the commemorative special train that was organised by the Western Australian Government Railways (WAGR) for the first mainline diesel-electric locomotives, namely the X Class. Many interesting dignitaries of the time rode the train, including Mr C G C Wayne, who was at the time General Manager, Tasmanian Government Railways. Mr Wayne would later become the WAGR Commissioner of Railways. He was a truly a railway man of his time and his international railway career speaks for itself in a special dedication to him on pages 14 and 15. We also have some extended coverage for 50 years of the Indian-Pacific! Highly recommended Ozzie Railway History Mag

Anyone interested in Australian Railway history, this is a well produced, and high quality mag. My great grandfather helped built many of these railways in late 19C. Revisado 22 noviembre 2018
