The Tisshaw household Clio is the member of Autocar’s’ ‘Our cars’ fleet that most recently left a production line, and those who recall its debut on these pages in last year’s Christmas issue will know I bought it on something of a whim because it was such a good deal. Paying just £30 a month isn’t getting old.
The Clio was preceded by a Twingo – our first car in more than a decade that wasn’t still under manufacturer warranty. If it wasn’t the Clio, delivered last December, then it would have been something else, because after spending much of 2023 in the 65-plate Twingo, we realised just how much we value manufacturer support when it comes to our own used car purchases.
