Emerson Fittipaldi won on his fourth F1 grand prix start, at Watkins Glen in 1970. Champion in 1972, he switched to McLaren and won another title in 1974. A second wind in Indycars garnered Indy 500 wins in 1989 and 1993, plus the 1989 CART title.
The victory wreaths on the Evija Fittipaldi’s rear spoiler are a lovely nod to an old Chapman tradition. “Clive told me that Colin used to pre-print those as stickers, and as the car came into parc fermé after a win, he’d slap them on in front of his rivals,” says Simon Lane.
