As this issue was coming together, one thing I noticed about all the pieces included is how ‘wearable’ they all are. Now I know all jewellery is wearable, but sometimes we make a piece that we know we can only wear for special occasions or to certain events. I know that over my time as a designer, I’ve made some super sparkly and huge pieces that would look out of place anywhere but the supermarket, but I could actually see each piece in this issue being worn at any time of the day and for any occasion. Now, making something full of sparkle and as big as a house is sometimes just what we need to do as jewellery makers, but there are also times when we want to make things that we know we will get loads of wear out of, makes for a good gift and maybe doesn’t come with its own postcode. So without further ado, let’s take a look at all the fabulous designs our designers have come up with for this issue.
