Bikes Etc  |  June 2016
We’ve spent the last few weeks using the wizardry of the internet to canvas you lot on who Britain’s greatest cyclist of all time is. You’ll find the results of that poll in the form of a Top 10. Regardless of whether you agree with the results or not (I’m not going to lie, there was the odd wobbly thrown at BikesEtc towers when the final list dropped!) one thing is clear – Britain’s cyclists are a tough, tough breed. That truism is very much borne out by our exclusive chat with David Millar. David, it’s fair to say, is a bit of a Marmite figure due mainly to some unwise choices he made when he was younger. Of course, we’ve also packed this issue with the usual blend of consumer advice, health and fitness insights as well as a generous dollop of inspiration to make sure that you don’t just read about cycling, you go cycling. Because with the weather currently
doing the old switcheroo from ‘inclement’ to ‘clement’, conditions are now perfect for you to treat yourself to some well-deserved saddle time.
