CAMPBELTOWN is renowned for the quality of its musical education and its talented young performers.
This year’s music festival’s final night saw the best musicians playing a grand concert, in Lorne and Lowland church, with more than 15 performances combining instruments and voices.
However, musical education is not all rosy. Campbeltown Community Council was told, on Tuesday evening, that parents are beginning to receive letters warning of a rise, in some cases of up to 44 per cent, in the cost of tuition.
