CAMPBELTOWN Bowling Club ladies braved Saturday’s persistent drizzle and walked off the green as Argyll and Bute county knockout champions.
Shirley Bannatyne in the singles, Lorraine Brodie and Susan Gilchrist in the pairs, and Jessie Andrew, Anne Colville, Moira Wareham and Jean Miller in the fours contested the Argyll and Bute county knockout semi-finals and finals on the Argyll green. The weather took a turn for the better on Sunday when the club hosted the Jim Stewart memorial triples that involves players from both local clubs in an open draw.
