Our first Special Edition focuses on conservation, a near and dear topic to the hearts of all Westerners. It’s all about connections and protections; protecting native grass, the fastest disappearing ecosystem in the world; protecting the avian species who are, literally, the early warning sign, the “canaries in the coal mine,” and it’s about protecting the headwaters, fishes, wildlife and ultimately us, from the poisons released in our drinking water by proposed coal mines on Alberta’s fragile eastern slopes.

We also celebrate Canada’s great showing at the World Championships, and we introduce you to a savvy working cowboy who is changing the face of “day riders.”
