Linear Fisheries’ Brasenose Lakes have to be some of the best winter waters in the country, with many anglers enjoying some great sport on them this week. Tom Maker couldn’t resist wetting a line at the famous day ticket fishery, and came away with a total of 27 fish to over 38lb. The largest fish of the week was banked by Ed Lucia, in the form of a 42lb mirror from Lake Pepper on the Cottington Lakes complex. Plus, aside from the catch reports, we also have over 32 extra pages in this week’s magazine, including some of the best new gear from the biggest brands in the sport!

RidgeMonkey’s Chris Cox moves away from Horton Church Pool and instead concentrates his efforts on the Boat Pool, with the hope of an original falling to his rods. Our editor, Simon Crow, is back with his column, where he suggests seeking out the sun at this time of year. DNA Baits’ Jason Hadwin relives some of his most memorable cold water sessions, while Alan Blair and Oli Davies reflect on their recent road trip through Europe!
