By default, NirSoft’s Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Scanner shows all BLE devices nearby. These are devices designed to send small amounts of data with minimal power, like fitness trackers, wireless headphones, smart-home sensors and some keyboards and mice. NirSoft has updated the tool so it shows only devices connected within the past few seconds. This makes it easier to spot active devices you’re currently using, rather than every BLE signal in range. To get the program, visit www. snipca.com/55300 then scroll down and click the correct Download link for your computer (see page 71 for details on NirSoft’s links). Now click Options at the top, then select Advanced Options (or press F9) and choose your time period in the box next to ‘Display only devices detected in the last xx seconds’ (we’ve chosen 25 seconds, 1 in our screenshot). Now tick the box 2 and click OK.
