Why does BIOS say Secure Boot is on, but Windows says not?
Q I read your advice in Issue 730 (page 6) about turning on Secure Boot before Microsoft replaces security certificates for Windows. I have an MSI Z490-A Pro motherboard. The BIOS says that Secure Boot is enabled, but Windows says not.
I’m running Windows 11, build 25H2. The computer has worked fine for some time. When I try to boot in UEFI I get the message ‘there is no GOP support detected in this card Bios CSM/UEFI mode settings in Bios will be changed to CSM’. The graphics card is a Radeon HD 7700. Is there a solution to this problem? If I need to change my graphics card, can you recommend one? I’m not a gamer.
