As the supply of sunshine seems to have been cut off and we ebb towards Autumn, it’s going to be all downhill to Christmas, especially now that The X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing are now on our television screens. This month’s issue of Diesel Car features a whole host of stars too, all from the Frankfurt Motor Show. Stunners like the Jaguar C-X17 concept, the Audi Nanuk and Volvo Coupé Concept wowed the crowds, alongside other concept cars like the Ford Mondeo Vignale, Volkswagen Golf SportsVan and Infiniti Q30. Every single one of the stars of the show are packed into the latest issue.

We’ve also been behind the wheel of a trio of Ford alternative fuel vehicles, including what will become the next generation Mondeo Hybrid, the Focus Electric and C-MAX Energi Plug-In. We’ve also driven Peugeot’s great new 308, the BMW X5, Range Rover Hybrid and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, as well as the BMW 4 Series Coupé and Vauxhall’s Zafira Tourer powered by the new 1.6-litre CDTi engine.

Lexus’ IS 300h battles for class supremacy against the Peugeot 508 HYbrid4, while Fiat’s 500L tries to outbox the Citroën C3 Picasso.
