Digital FilmMaker  |  DFM Issue 66
There’s a good reason we always come back to horror for our front covers. It’s hugely popular. No matter where you go or who you talk to, you’ll find that the horror genre makes a great entry point into the world of filmmaking. That’s because it’s got to be one of the easiest subject areas to make, although that’s not to take anything away from the talented people who shoot horror on a regular basis. And, of course, you still need to get it right. However, if you’re working to a tight budget and have a neat idea then horror certainly makes a lot of sense. Our cover feature this issue focuses on Miles Watts and his team of creatives who’ve recently been working on blood and guts fest Zomblogalypse. From what we have seen and heard this sounds like it was an awful lot of fun to make, and that’s a big part of what the whole filmmaking thing should be about. At the same time, it looks like Miles and his buddies have produced a cracking project. That said; we’ve got a host of other projects on show this issue including a look at the latest project from Ricky Gervais.
