Fujifilm has announced a new roadmap for its X-mount lenses, which shows the full lineup of current lenses in the range and new lenses the company has in development. There are two prime lenses due to be launched this year, the Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR and XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR, and two zoom lenses – an XF18-120mm and a XF150-600mm supertelephoto – slated for 2022. The roadmap shows that by the time the X-mount celebrates its 10th birthday next year, there will be 40 lenses in the system.
Fujifilm also announced four new lenses for its range of GFX medium format cameras at its annual X-Summit in September. The new roadmap shows plans for a tilt-shift lens in 2023, plus the new low-cost 35-70mm f/4-5-5.6, which is designed to be the kit lens for the just-announced Fujifilm GFX50S II, available this year. For 2022, Fujifilm is also promising a 55mm f/1.7 and a 20-35mm wide-angle zoom. This will extend the Fujifilm G-mount lineup to a total of 16 lenses (plus a 1.4x teleconverter).
