Burning it all down
Your first encounter with fire involves an earth-scorching dragon – a fine opportunity to learn the way it spreads
Should we be amazed that when we shoot a flaming arrow into a block of ice, it causes the target to partially melt, cold water pooling on the ground? As far as 3D worlds go, the first occasion we shot ice with fire arrows was in Ocarina Of Time, and we’ve surely repeated the act numerous times since. However, examples where the reaction feels like a genuine clash of simulated physics properties, rather than a canned animation, are fewer and farther between.
