Dressed in another gown by Givenchy, the label that created her wedding dress, Meghan Markle arrived at the Royal Academy of Arts to give her first solo engagement as a royal last week. And we saw a duchess hard at work: rubbing noses with a guest in a Maori greeting (ahead of her and Prince Harry’s trip to New Zealand later this month) and shaking hands with her now familiar warmth. But, only days later, it emerged that Harry and Meghan had secretly been on a very different kind of engagement. According to reports, the couple took a private trip to Amsterdam days earlier for the A-list launch of Soho House. They are said to have dined with Eddie Redmayne at the members’ club (which is famously where they first met), with Douglas Booth and Simon Pegg also in attendance. They danced at the after-party until midnight, enjoyed Sunday brunch, then flew home. They were very relaxed and fitted right in,’ an insider revealed.
