Editor’s letter

Welcome to…

Here in the UK we’re in the depths of the winter season. The sun sets early, the skies are weak and grey and we’re experiencing a bitterly cold spell of weather. However, despite the bleakness of this scene I depict, there are very early signs of spring and I can spot a few tiny signs of life in my garden. I also remember that despite the cold weather there’ll be an additional hour of sunlight every month until the summer solstice. The nights are slowly getting lighter and the biting cold will turn into a gentler climate.
