Hello and welcome to my first issue as editor of iPad User magazine! I’d like to thank my colleague Matthew Bolton for launching the magazine and doing such a great job of carving out a niche for it in the world. Now Matthew is off to a position in the online world I’ve stepped in to fill his boots. And what boots to fill! Hopefully the collection of iPad articles, and tutorial I’ve assembled for you this issue will do him justice.
It’s a good moment to reflect, as this issue also sees the 10th anniversary of the release of the first iPad. As Alex Summersby says in this month’s feature on page 4, people initially dismissed the iPad as nothing more than a big iPhone. And yes, that’s exactly what it was, but the brilliance of Apple always lies in seeing things from a different perspective. Thinking different, if you will.
