I love those words. I love the sense of longing, and belonging, that they convey. Sometimes the strength of feeling we have for places can surprise us: feelings that can quite literally take our breath away. It can be in our own back garden or among the soaring mountains of the north: those moments when the sight of a tiny flower or a snow-capped hill move us in a way that can be hard to explain. Yet they are moments that remind us just how profoundly we are connected to the natural world around us: how deeply rooted our identities are in the history and culture of the country we call home.
