M ost Linux users are familiar with US computer manufacturer System76, which has achieved fame for selling brand new notebooks and desktop computers with Linux pre-installed. During the order process, buyers are offered a choice of Ubuntu or System76’s own PoP!_OS. It stands apart from most other Linux OSes as it’s not developed by the community, although coders can contribute to the source code on GitHub.
