Financial services company Zerodha has announced a $1 million annual fund to support Free/Libre and Open Source Software projects around the world. The initiative, named the FLOSS/fund, will provide $10,000 to $100,000 per project annually.
Zerodha CTO Kailash Nadh acknowledged the company had built a commercially successful business “on top of FOSS”, so it was time to “shut up or put up”.
