When Steve Jobs announced the first iPad, back in the heady days of 2010, nobody was quite sure what to make of it. It was, after all, just a bigger iPhone, without the phone bit. It was hard to understand what a difference it was going to make to the mobile computer market at the time, but it changed everything, turning Apple into the biggest computer manufacturer in the world. As long as you count iPads as computers, that is.
