Apple automation feels like living in the future
One of the best things
about smart homes is the convenience it offers and that includes automating, well, everything… You can get lights to switch off when you leave the house, or have your coffee machine switched on and ready just before your HomePods wake you up – whatever you need to simplify your day-to-day. And if you have devices with sensors in them, such as motion sensors or temperature sensors, you can use automation to make things happen there too.
All the magic happens in the Home app, which is the same on Mac, iPhone and iPad. You can create automations for a single device or groups of them – so a single smart plug or your entire home lighting system, for instance.
