Child-murders from Britain and mysterious child abductions from Australia feature prominently in this edition of Master Detective. Harold Jones was just a child himself when he became a killer. But the very idea of him being guilty of the murder of eight-year-old Freda Burnell seemed so unlikely to the people of 1920s Abertillery, Monmouthshire, that many celebrated when he was acquitted at trial. Sadly, a few weeks later a second girl was found dead, and the horrible truth finally dawned. See “Horror Of The Teenage Welsh Child-Killer” in this issue for the full story.

The disappearance – and widely suspected murder – of the Beaumont children in Adelaide in 1966 shocked a nation. Today hopes still remain that, even after more than half a century, this haunting case can finally be solved. For the full story read “Will They Ever Find Australia’s Missing Children?” in this issue.

Highlights of this issue include:

* Amazing Double Life Of On-The-Run Drug Scam Killer
* European Crime Report: “Sex-Killer Mutilated His Victims,” “Evil Under The Spanish Sun”
* MD’s Crime Quiz
* Thirty Years Ago In Crime
* They Agreed To Kill Keighley – Twice
* Horror Of The Teenage Welsh Child-Killer
* Why Guernsey Man Killed The Lodger
* US Executions – The Forgotten Decade: Wrong Number Spelled Death For Babysitter Sandra
