Anyone who has any experience of them will tell you that unfortunately mental illnesses don’t confine themselves to the realms of logic.
As someone who lives with an anxiety disorder, for example, it’s the days when I’m least able to incorporate lifestyle choices which I know lessen my symptoms when I need to most. Similarly, information which to a healthy mind is a deterrent can act as a trigger for a vulnerable person. This is particularly true of mental illnesses that have a strong behavioural element, like eating disorders and self-harm.
