What’s the worst thing about being a musician?
“There’s a misconception that we don’t actually work. There ends up being a lot of people in your life who don’t think you have a ‘real job’. It’s obviously wonderful work and I’m super-grateful to do it, but it is frustrating to interact with people who don’t think I do anything, and songs and tours just pop out of thin air.”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“One time Billy Corgan told me to write and record as a much as I can while I have mercury in my hands. When you’re feeling most inspired, just roll with it.”
