HI-FI RUSH
While the soundtrack leaned more towards garage rock than metal (although shoutout for Nine Inch Nails’ excellent The Perfect Drug making an appearance), Hi-Fi Rush used music better than any other game this year. It was a rhythm-based action game with a lot of spirit.
