After auditions by Scottish Youth Theatre across the country, a theatre maker from Banavie has been picked as one of the 20 talented young people who will form the 2019 National Ensemble.
Katryn Muir, 17, applied along with 110 other young people to join the 2019 national company and she met their fellow members for the first time last weekend.
Launched in 2017, the Scottish Youth Theatre (SYT) National Ensemble is a company made up of young people aged 16-25 who have displayed great potential as theatre makers. The experience lasts a year and, as well as learning about acting and performing, the young participants will collaborate with professional theatre practitioners on disciplines such as directing, writing and design.
