A SOUTH UIST smokehouse has been shortlisted in the prestigious Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.
Salar Smokehouse at Loch Carnan was mothballed in April 2015 with the loss of seven jobs, but has been revived by former staff who bought the business from previous owners Loch Duart.
Iain Macrury, managing director, said: ‘We are delighted to be shortlisted for the awards.
