A PUBLIC meeting to discuss proposals to change the catchment areas for Lundavra and Inverlochy primary schools had to be formally closed as soon as it was opened as only council officials turned up.
Highland Council is proposing the boundary be moved so that 13 new homes in a new development on Belford Road will all be in the Inverlochy catchment area.
A public meeting was held on Wednesday March 8 in the council chambers in Fort William but there were no members of public present so Councillor Drew Millar, chairman of the Education, Children and Adult and Services Committee, formally opened and then closed the meeting. This was described at the meeting as being ‘one of those things’.
