An Oban-based band have been humbled by the response to their debut album. Crackin’ Craic released The Other Side last Saturday at their launch party, which took place in The View, which was previously Skipinnish Ceilidh House. The band is made up offiruaridh Allan on vocals and guitar, Scott Sinclair on vocals and guitar andThewan MacDonald on bass. Speaking about the album launch, Ruaridh said: ‘We were absolutely humbled by the amount of people that came, young and old, to support us. It’s been quite a long process to get this new material ready for the public, so it’s just a big relief to finally get it out, and to know folk are enjoying it too makes it all worthwhile.’ The band took inspiration from their idols such as Greenday, The View and Oasis. Discussing what the songs are about, Ruaridh added: ‘I suppose it’s just things that come up in everyday life that either aThects us in a negative or positive way. Whether that’s work, a past relationship, or a good night out on the sauce.’ The album is currently available to pre-order online, and it will be available on iTunes and Spotify in the coming weeks. Those who pre-order the album will receive a free download of their new track I’m Missing You. For more information, visit www.crackincraic.com/new-album
