A THREE-CAR collision on the A85 near the Halfway House Filling Station on Saturday afternoon (May 20) has starkly highlighted the need for enhanced safety measures on the road between Oban and Connel, a campaign supporter said this week.
A man involved in the incident has been charged with careless driving and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
While not referring to this case, Bill Milne from Connel, who saw the accident, said: ‘Highlighting the problems on the road through the Stay Alive on the A85 campaign, along with a concerted campaign by Oban police has started to change driver behaviour. I am sure that people are driving more carefully and considerably.
