THE development of Oban’s new £35 million school took a groundbreaking step forward on Monday.
Councillor Roddy McCuish was the first to pierce the soil at the sod-cutting ceremony, which celebrated the first day of construction of the new Oban high school.
Argyll and Bute Council has appointed Hub North Scotland to build the school, which will accommodate 1,300 pupils.
