SCHOOL children in some of the most remote primary schools on the west coast are to take part in a touring science education programme for the first time.
Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne is backing a series of Generation Science workshops being delivered to youngsters on the Small Isles, Colonsay, Coll, Tiree and Gigha.
Pupils in remote mainland areas - Lochaline on the Morvern peninsula and Kilchoan on Ardnamurchan - which both have ferry connections to/from Mull, will also benefit from the workshops.
