Sir,
I have been reading the latest issue of Holiday West Highland and have much appreciated this excellent publication and the thoughtfulness with which the attractions of the district are presented to our visitors.
Appin is described as a scenic and friendly village, welcoming tourists for short or long stays and grateful for the economic benefits accruing to the community … ‘surrounded by lochs and mountain peaks. The blend of seascapes and mountains is out of a fairytale’. The article goes on to say that Appin is part of the Lynn of Lorn National Scenic Area, and one of only 40 such areas in Scotland.
