A Mull man has admitted being almost three times over the drink driving limit. Neil Alan Dyer, 50, of Innes Free, Ardmore Road, Salen, admitted having 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 22mg in 100ml. He appeared at Oban SheriflCourt on Wednesday February 27 and was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £350.
Procurator fiscal Eoin McGinty said a police off cer spotted the accused in a van and stopped him owing to his manner of driving.
ATher smelling alcohol, the off cer asked Dyer if he had anything to drink in the past 20 minutes and he replied one can of beer.
