ON-CAMERA VS OFF-
CAMERA FLASH
An off-camera flash like the Godox AD-300 Pro used here, gives you greater flexibility than a hotshoe-mounted Speedlite, as you can place it where you like and use modifiers like umbrellas. Of course, off-camera flash means more work as you’ll need a light stand and wireless trigger, which isn’t always practical. On the other hand an on-camera Speedlite can still be very useful – especially for simple fill flash – as its position on the same axis as the lens means it fills in the shadows, as seen from the camera position.
