“I don’t mind where we eat,” he says, “you choose.” I flick through the rolodex of local restaurants I keep stored in my mind. Too expensive. Too far away. We ate there last time.
In my frustration, I find myself wondering if the criteria we have for what makes a good place to eat has set the bar just a little too high. And then, as always, one little thought briefly crosses my mind.
