A CHAPTER of South Wales history closed on February 23, when the last train of Welsh mined coal operated on the national rail network.
The final domestic coal flow in the UK was hauled by DB Cargo Class 66 No. 66112 from Cwmbargoed Disposal Point to the Tata steelworks at Port Talbot.
