Scootering  |  November 2025
Welcome to the November edition of Scootering. At the risk of completely spoiling the Royal Alloy JPS-Series news report on pages 8-9, I’ve got to jump in and say something now, and it’s this: I bloody love them - in my humble opinion, I think they look great.
Yes, I am a geared, 2-stroke nut, always have been, always will be… but I have to say, Royal Alloy are really hitting the spot as far as I’m concerned. I know there are tonnes of riders out there who are dead-set against the modern 4-stroke autos, but I’m not one of them. I really think that the new machines are a great option for so many reasons: Dealer facilities, finance, servicing, spares, and trade-in options -
just some of the benefits, as opposed to the risks taken when
buying a 50-60 year old machine from eBay or Facebook.
Those two experiences are worlds apart. Then look at the spec: a 26bhp, 350 (309cc) engine, disc brakes, digital speedo dashboard, gas shocks, ABS, traction control, plus 12-month breakdown cover included from new. And all that is before I even get to the styling and the new JPS-Series paint job.
I mean, what’s not to like? Well… not much: the mirrors, the stand, and the clunky exhaust - but aren’t all those items perfect for aftermarket tweaks and customisation?
So, they look pretty good in my opinion. Something else that looks promising is the potential lineup of scooters I think we may have brewing for a back-to-back road test and dyno shootout - namely the new GTS 310, the new Lambretta 350, and the latest Royal Alloy 350. If the stars align and we get all of the above in one go, it will make for
an interesting read, for sure.
In the meantime, we have plenty more to keep you entertained, so
take a flick through these here pages, sit back, and enjoy the
ride… it’s a beauty.
