I started writing this piece back during the tail end of a long winter. My thoughts were preoccupied with unending rain, storm following storm, following storm. I sat in the Cannock Chase trail centre café with Taz as rain lashed against the window, waiting for a break in the weather to grab a few photos of his bike. I fluked some sunshine with Katherine down in Bristol and we noodled down urban, woodsy singletrack, full of optimism for the summer.
